Lemon Pickle Recipe || Nimbu Ka Khatta Meetha Achar || नीबूका खटा मीठा अचार



Lemon pickle is a traditional Indian condiment made with lemons, ground spices, salt and optional, ingredient - oil. Many Indian, household make pickles during the summer that usually last for a year. Pickles are eaten as a side in an Indian meal and are believed to aid digestion when eaten in small quantities.
A typical Indian meal always consists of a pickle and lemon pickle is the most common one loved by many.

Now on how to make lemon pickle, here are the ingredients required and step by step

instructions :-

 

INGREDIENTS

● 500gms, Lemon

● 4tsp, Carom Seeds { Ajwain }

● 1tbsp, Black Pepper

● 2tbsp, Black Salt

● 3tbsp, Salt

● 1⁄4th tsp, Hing

● 2 tsp, Red Chilli Powder

● 400gms, Sugar


INSTRUCTIONS

1. Firstly, cut all the lemon in 4 pieces.

2. Next pour all pieces of lemon in a large mixing bowl.

3. Secondly, add 4 tsp Ajwain (carom seeds), 1tbsp black pepper, 2 tbsp black salt, 3 tbsp

salt, 1⁄4 tsp hing and 2 tsp red chilli powder.

4. Mix well and cover it and store it like that for 12 days.

5. After 12 days, add 400gms of sugar and mix well.

6. Lastly, wait for 2 more days.

7. Finally, pour lemon pickle into the jar and serve.
