Chilli Potatoes Recipe || Easy To Make Starter/Appetizer Recipe



Chilli potato recipe with step by step instructions and video. This is a deliciously addictive spicy chilli potato recipe. These crispy fried potatoes in a spicy, sour and slightly sweet sauce are so good and you will definitely ask for more. A vegan dish. Chilli potato is a starter snack and can be served as it is without any side or accompaniment. It can also be served with fried rice or noodles.

INGREDIENTS

For Frying Potatoes -

● 4 Potatoes (chopped)

● 1 tsp, Salt

● 2 tbsp, Maida

● 1⁄2 tsp, Pepper

● Oil for deep fry


Other Ingredients -

● 3 tsp, Oil / Ghee

● 4 cloves, Garlic (grated)

● 3 Green Chilli (slit)

● 2 Onion (chopped)

● 2 Capsicum (chopped)

● 1 Tomato (chopped)

● 1 tsp, Pepper

● 1 tbsp, Red Chilli Powder

● 1 tsp, Salt

● 2 tbsp, Vinegar

● 2 tbsp, Soy Sauce

● 2 tbsp, Tomato Ketchup

● 4 tbsp, Cornflour

● 4 tbsp, Water


INSTRUCTIONS

1. Firstly, peel the skin of the potatoes and chop them into thick pieces.

2. Further, boil the potato pieces for 7 minutes adding 1 tsp of salt.

3. Drain the water.

4. Now take a large mixing bowl and add the potatoes along with 2 tbsp of maida and 1⁄2 tsp

of pepper and mix well.

5. Deep fry the potatoes into hot oil until it turns golden brown and crispy.

6. Heat the 3 tsp oil and add garlic and green chili and saute well.

7. Also saute 2 chopped onions and capsicum along with 1 tomato till they slightly shrink.

8. Now add 1 tsp pepper, 1 tbsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp salt and mix well.

9. Additionally add 2 tbsp each of vinegar, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and mix well.

10. In a small bowl add 4 tbsp each of cornflour and water and mix well to avoid lumps.

11. Pour the cornflour mix into the pan and mix until it turns glossy.

12. Further add fried potatoes and mix gently making sure the sauces are coated well to

potatoes.

13. Finally, serve crispy chilli potato hot along with fried rice.
